About our articles
Encyclopedia on Pets was written between 2009 and 2016. The redesign keeps every article in its original wording, so you can still read it, but none of the pet-health advice has yet been reviewed by a veterinarian against current guidance. Veterinary advice changes: medicine doses, first aid, vaccination schedules and diet recommendations in particular. Always ask your own vet about your pet, and in an emergency call your vet or an animal poison helpline straight away.
Review labels on each page
- Important (29 pages): mentions medicines, doses, poisons, emergency first aid or raw diets. Do not rely on these for treatment.
- Waiting for review (109 pages): contains advice that may be out of date.
- Archive article (121 pages): general care information, not yet reviewed.
These labels come from an automatic keyword check. They are a reading aid only: they are not a medical assessment, and an unlabelled page has not been approved either.
